ULTRACAST® 65T95 is a diisocyanate-terminated urethane prepolymer, based on 2.4 Diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) and Polytetramethylene Ether Glycol. MDI is recognised as a diisocyanate of low volatility, even at elevated temperatures, and avoids the hazards associated with this family of chemicals. PTMEG has for some years been established as a proven backbone for urethane prepolymers and, in combination with MDI, results in prepolymers and elastomers possessing the following properties:
- Low processing viscosity
- Hydrolysis resistance
- Low temperature performance
- Resistance to internal heat build-up under dynamic stress
ULTRACAST® 65T95, when cured with ULTRACURE 600M, yields elastomers of Shore A 93 - 97.
